This statement covers the website at glazequote.co.uk. It does not cover the GlazeQuote application, which is a separate product with its own testing.

The standard we are aiming at
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 at level AA. We believe this site meets that standard, with the exceptions listed further down.
That is a target we hold ourselves to rather than one we have been audited against. Nobody independent has assessed this site, and we say so rather than implying more assurance than we have.
What we have tested, and what we found
Every check below was run against this build of the site, on all five pages: the front page, this page, the privacy notice, the terms of use and the page you get when an address is wrong.
Colour contrast
Every combination of text colour and the surface behind it was measured against the WCAG formula rather than judged by eye. All 27 combinations pass. The lowest result for normal-size body text is 6.09 to 1, against a requirement of 4.5 to 1. The lowest result anywhere on the site is 4.18 to 1, on the large step numerals on the front page, which are held to the 3 to 1 requirement that applies to large text.
The measurement runs as a script alongside the site, so a colour changed later cannot quietly fall below the line.
Keyboard and focus
Every link and button can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone, in an order that follows the page. Whatever holds focus shows a visible ring that is thick enough to see, offset clear of the text, and measured for contrast against each of the surfaces it can appear on.
The first thing a keyboard reaches on every page is a skip link that jumps past the header straight to the content.
Structure and text
Each page has one main heading and a heading order that does not skip a level. Every image that carries meaning has alternative text describing what it shows; images that are purely decorative are marked so that a screen reader passes over them. The language of each page is declared. Body text is never smaller than 16 pixels, and the layout is set in relative units, so text enlarges with your browser's own zoom or text-size setting.
Movement, and doing without JavaScript
The only movement on the site is a single fade as a section arrives on screen. If your system is set to reduce motion, that fade does not run at all. Nothing flashes, nothing moves on its own, and nothing plays automatically.
With JavaScript turned off the whole site still works and every word is visible. The one script on the site only adds the fade, and it is written so that content is never left hidden if it fails.
Layout at different sizes
The pages were checked at 390, 820 and 1440 pixels wide. Nothing needs sideways scrolling to read at any of those widths, and no content is cut off.
Where we know we fall short
These are the gaps we are aware of. We would rather list them than let you find them.
- No testing with a real screen reader user. Our checks are technical ones plus keyboard testing. Nobody who uses a screen reader daily has been through this site, and that is the kind of testing that finds what the technical checks miss.
- The screenshots are summarised, not transcribed. The alternative text on the product images describes what the screen is showing and what you can do on it. It does not read out every figure in the picture. If you want to know exactly what is on those screens, ask us and we will tell you.
- We have not assessed against WCAG 2.2. The target here is version 2.1 at level AA. The newer version adds requirements we have not worked through.
- No independent audit. Everything above was tested by the people who built the site.

If any part of this site does not work for you, we want to know, and you do not need to explain why or describe your circumstances.
Email hello@glazequote.co.uk. Say which page it was and what happened. We will acknowledge it within five working days and tell you what we intend to do about it.

How this statement was prepared
Prepared on Sun 23rd Aug 2026, following a rebuild of the site. It is based on our own testing of that build, as described above, and it will be revised whenever the site changes in a way that affects any of it.
